Corporate Inbound FFA Vendor Freight Program – YRCW Carrier Group

As our business grows in North America, we believe it is imperative that all freight carriers inbound to our locations are those whom we have alignment with in all areas of service, to include transit time and visibility. Additionally, we need to limit the number of LTL carriers that deliver inbound to our branches, distribution centers, and direct to our customers. This gives us more control and visibility of the delivery as well as helping our facilities control the volume of LTL carriers at their locations on a daily basis.

Beginning September 1, 2008, we are implementing an initiative naming the YRCW Group of LTL carriers as our Corporate Inbound Preferred Carrier Group to all North America locations for all LTL shipments as follows.

• Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. (and subsidiaries), branches and distribution centers.
• Wolseley Canada (and subsidiaries), cross border to branches and distribution centers. Cross border to branches and distribution centers in Canada — YRC only.

Types of Shipments

• Inbound Collect LTL Shipments, where we are responsible for the freight charges.
• Inbound PPD or FFA Shipments, where you, “the Shipper”, are responsible for freight charges.
• If a shipment weighs more than 20,000 lbs. and/or occupies more than 20 ft. of trailer space, it should not move LTL. Please e-mail shipping.questions@ferguson.com for routing instructions on these shipments.

Expedited Shipping

• To schedule pickups, get quotes, track shipments, or to learn more about the offerings available from a carrier, call the customer service number below or visit their website.
• Establish a TSA “Known-Shipper” status with the carrier(s) you want to work with.  This allows you to utilize a wide range of available services and gives you the opportunity to speak with a company representative regarding the services that best fit your transportation needs.

Pricing

• YRCW has agreed to negotiate with all vendors as needed and to become competitively priced so that this program does not increase our vendors’ freight costs.  Please notify us at Shipping.questions@Ferguson.com when this cannot be accomplished.
• For those shipments where inbound collect to Ferguson may be less cost with another Ferguson regional approved carrier outside of the YRCW Group, please proceed and use that carrier as your choice for that shipment.  Pricing may vary by region of the U.S.
