John Posey is New Senior Vice President of Business Groups

John Posey has been named senior vice president, business groups. John will play a significant role in developing and expanding the businesses which include residential, HVAC, commercial/industrial and waterworks.

Since 2002, John had been the regional manager for the Midwest region, overseeing the operations of Ferguson outlets in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri. John joined Ferguson in 1979 as a part-time college student in Beltsville, MD. After spending time in sales, John held management positions at the Washington, DC satellite and at the Beltsville, MD main branch, which received Supply House of the Year in 1999 under John’s guidance.   From 1999 to 2002, he was regional acquisitions manager, where he was responsible for integrating all acquisitions into Ferguson.

Originally from Laurel, MD, John received his B.S. from the University of Maryland in 1981 and a MBA from the University of Maryland in 1985. John has also attended executive development programs at Duke University, Darden School of Business, IMD in Switzerland and Harvard Business School.
