Ferguson Wins PROSALES Excellence Award

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - ProSales Magazine, the leading publication for the construction supply industry, awarded Ferguson with the 2010 Excellence Award in the advertising category for the campaign, "Let Us Orchestrate Your Dream." Launched in the fall of 2009, the campaign features a Ferguson showroom consultant, "Kate", orchestrating and leading a symphony of swaying faucets and shower heads to the music of Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5. New versions of the campaign continue to run on National TV and have been extended to radio, print and a multitude of other mediums.

The award honors business leaders whose creativity and ingenuity have not only improved and reinvigorated their own companies, but also set new benchmarks for service in the entire industry. "The 2010 ProSales Excellence Award winners exemplify the smart, innovative, creative thinking that's taking place at America's best construction supply companies even as we suffer through the worst housing market in decades," said Craig Webb, editor, ProSales magazine.

The award was presented to John Gillespie, Director of Marketing and Brand Development, and Shawn McLaughlin, Brand Advertising Manager at the International Builders Show in Orlando, Fla. on January 13. "The Ferguson marketing team is excited to receive this prestigious advertising award from the construction supply industry," said Gillespie. "The original purpose of the campaign was to highlight the showroom consultant as the key point of difference for our Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Brand. We are pleased to accept this award on behalf of the hard work of the actual showroom consultants that deliver every day on the brand promise of the campaign."

The winners were highlighted in the November/December edition of ProSales Magazine and also presented with a $500 check for the charity of their choice. Ferguson donated the proceeds to the American Heart Association to further align with our goal of wellness and healthy living.
