2007 Promotions - General Managers

Ferguson names Carey Ziebarth GM for Billings
Carey Ziebarth was recently named General Manager for Billings, Mont.  Carey began his career with Ferguson in 1988 as a Driver in Twin Falls, Idaho, and was promoted to the warehouse in 1989.  In 1991, he was moved to Inside Sales and in 1993 was promoted to Outside Sales. He was named Branch Manager of Twin Falls, Idaho, in 2003.

Commenting on his appointment Carey said, “I am excited about Billings, our opportunities and serving such a talented team.”

A native of Kimberly, Idaho, Carey is a 1987 graduate of the College of Southern Idaho. Carey was also a member of the Presidents Circle in 2001.

Ferguson names David Turner GM of Salinas [ top ]
David Turner was recently named General Manager of Salinas, Ca., where he will oversee six branches.  David began his career with Ferguson in 1993 as a trainee in Kansas City and has held many positions in his career, including Warehouse Manager, Branch Manager and Area Operations Manager. 

“My goal is to ensure that Ferguson – Salinas continues to be one of the company’s most profitable and operationally-sound branches,” David said. “We want to be the yardstick by which our competitors measure themselves.  My hope is that our associates and customers are proud to be a part of the Ferguson Family”

A native of Kansas City, Mo., David is a 1992 graduate of the University of Missouri.  Under his leadership, the Henderson, Nev., branch won Branch of the Year of the Southwest Region for 2004 - 2005.

Ferguson names Burris General Manager of Texas HVAC [ top ]
Ken Burris was recently named General Manager for Texas HVAC.  Ken began his career with Ferguson in 1989 as a trainee in Herndon, Va. He then worked as a Buyer within Integrated in Cincinnati, Ohio, until becoming General Manager of the Integrated location in Madisonville, Ky., in 1994. He was General Manger of Integrated in Defiance, Ohio, from 1999 until he was promoted to Area Operations Manager of the Southwest HVAC area in 2006. 

“I am very excited to be joining the talented group of associates that make up the Texas HVAC team,” Ken said.

A native of East Liverpool, Ohio, Ken is a 1989 graduate of Miami University.   He has also successfully completed the executive development program at the Darden School of Business.

Ferguson appoints Hernandez to General Manager of Reno [ top ]
Ferguson announces the recent appointment of Victor Hernandez to General Manager of Reno, Nev. Victor began his career with the company in 1988 as a trainee in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and remained there, working in Outside Sales until 1997. From 1997 to 2001, he was Vice President of Sales, first in Memphis, Tenn., and later in Garden Grove, Ca. In 2000, Victor was promoted to Branch Manager of City of Industry, Ca.  He was named General Manager of Salinas, Ca., in 2004.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead a great group of associates that are eager to make Ferguson Reno a dominate wholesaler in the marketplace,” Victor said.  “We have many uncharted areas to develop, and our customers have so much to gain with all of the benefits Ferguson offers.”

Originally from Miami, Fla., Victor has been recognized for his sales and leadership skills with the Outstanding Sales and Leadership Award for the Midwest region in 1999-2000. He is also a seven-time winner of the President's Club award and has received multiple honors for top monthly sales performance.


Charles Bartlett named General Manager for Colorado HVAC [ top ]
Charles Bartlett was recently named General Manager for Colorado HVAC.  Charles began his career with Ferguson in 1991 as a trainee in Ft. Myers, Fla. He then worked in Outside Sales in Naples, Fla., until becoming Branch Manager in 1998. He was Branch Manager of four Southern California locations from 2000 to 2006, until he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager of the Southwest Region. 

A native of Orlando, Fla., Charles is a 1991 graduate of Florida State University and was a member of the President’s Club in 1999.

Steve Speers named General Manager of Chicago [ top ]
Steve Speers was recently named General Manager of Chicago, Ill. Steve came to Ferguson in 1994 through the Management Trainee Program. He trained in Atlanta, Ga., where he also gained experience in sales. Steve went on to manage three branch locations in Georgia: Gainesville from 1996-1999; Lilburn from 1999-2002; and Athens from 2002-2003.  He was General Manager of the Roanoke, Va., branch in 2003 and became General Manager of Greenville, N.C., in 2005.

Originally from Syracuse, N.Y., Steve is a 1993 graduate of the University of North Carolina.


Rick Chandler named General Manager of Memphis [ top ]
Rick Chandler was recently named General Manager of Memphis, Tenn.  Rick, a native of Loxley, Ala., joined Ferguson as an Inside Sales Associate in 1993 in Mobile, Ala. By 1995, Rick had advanced to Branch Manager, and opened the Decatur, Ala., branch. Under his leadership, the branch achieved $8 million in sales in 1999.  Rick was promoted to General Manager of the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, branch in 2001, and guided it through an upturn.  He returned south two years later to become the Sales/Operations Manager of Birmingham, Ala.  Rick relocated to Jackson, Miss., in August 2005 is part of a succession plan for the General Manager position, which became effective in March 2006.

“I am thrilled to join the team in Memphis,” Rick said.  “Western Tennessee and Northern Mississippi are experiencing tremendous growth, and we look forward to putting a team together to leverage the strengths of Ferguson across all our K.O.B.s.”


Pat McNally named General Manager [ top ]
Pat McNally was recently named General Manager for California Bay Area HVAC.  Pat began his career with Ferguson in 1988 as a Management Trainee in Beltsville, MD, and was promoted to Operations Manager of Orlando, FL, in 1991. He transferred to Annapolis, MD, in 1993 as Branch Manager and was Finished Products Manager of Beltsville, MD, starting in 1997.  In 2000, he was Manager of Training and Development of GCI in Richmond, VA, and then Operations Manager for Van Nuys, CA.  Pat became Branch Manager there in 2004.

“I am excited about my move to the Bay Area, involvement with HVAC and the opportunity to work with a great group of associates,” Pat said. 

A native of Cleveland, OH, Pat is a 1988 graduate of Miami University.
