Now…what do you do when you meet the representatives from the companies?
- Shake Hands – A firm, professional handshake makes a good impression.
- Introduce yourself – “My name is ______. I am looking for a sales opportunity. Tell me more about Ferguson!”
- Find out a key fact about the companies that you are most interested in! This will impress the recruiters and help them remember you!
- Dress for Success – Whether you opt for Business Professional or Business Casual, wear clean, Ironed Clothes!
- Have a copy of your resume ready to hand to the Representative – the whole purpose of the interaction is for you to give your resume and receive company information.
- This is a mini-interview! Answer questions like you would in an interview setting!
- Be Professionally Polite! Remember, there will be many companies that you have never heard of – take an interest in learning all about them!
