Black Shadow Ring! makes Tub look old immediately.
I can't believe this happened, but we bought this tub as a built in. Set it in cement as indicated, and built a custom wall around it and tiled it in. Tub isn't going anywhere, Then immediately noticed that the way the light hit the tub, it creates a black ring along the back side of the tub where it's angled for the back rest. We scrubbed it for days until we realized that it's a shadow. natural light from the window, or at night with just overhead lights, makes no difference. the tub looks filthy!! It's so upsetting. Be very careful before buying this tub.

LEAKS AT OVERFLOW
OVERFLOW LEAKS- second time (in 4 yrs) we have had leaks down though first floor ceiling due to leaks from the overflow, seems the flex of the tub coupled with thin gasket and lack of protection around the overflow opeining , tub wall and drain area is causing leaks when someone is in the bath

Nice deep soaker
The Archer drop in tub is very nice and exactly what we were looking for- a deep soaking tub. It’s finish is very nice and provides the deepness we were looking to get in a tub. The reason for the four stars is because I feel the thickness of the tub walls should be a bit thicker. I can shine a 100 watt light through the tub walls. . It is a bit difficult to install as well with the plumbing that is designed for the drain and overflow.
