Plant division drafting capabilities
Experienced drafters in our plant division’s drafting department provide shop drawings for our customers’ plant jobs across the country. Our main focus is detailing interior ductile, but we are capable of detailing most aspects of a project as needed.
Our plant division uses 3D Revit technology. The 3D models in Revit contain building information that allows us to auto-generate the associated bill of material (BOM) for the shop drawings. The 2D plan and section views are created directly from the 3D model. Both features help improve efficiency while reducing errors.
Autodesk Revit, the premier building information modeling software tool currently available, was designed for BIM and collaboration. Key features include:
- 3D models
- 2D views generated from model
- “Parametric” structures (containing building information)
- Auto-generated BOM
- Revising model updates all views
