- The series a wing nut test plugs are designed and developed for testing for leaks and for sealing off sections of pipelines generally made of cast iron, steel, vitrified clay, concrete etc
- These plugs come with a hollow stem which can be used as a fill or drain pipe
- Turning the wing nut expands the rubber ring tightly against the inside of the pipe
- Hand tightening is usually adequate in smaller sizes, but a wrench can be used on larger sizes to give a better seal
- Low pressure plug for water only
- Maximum test pressures are dependent upon the friction of the test plug rubber with the inside of the pipe
