Well rounded saw

The good -
cordless makes it insanely portable & versatile.
Blade change is a breeze & intuitive..
Variable speed trigger...
Could be better-
Battery life, if you run smaller batteries keep a few charged on hand; runs great with the 20/60 flex volt batteries.
Variable speed trigger.. It is a little on the touchy side which isn't always an issue but sometimes I wish it had a lil more "control"

Not bad for a base model
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the base model reciprocating saw, but its not bad. I'd definitely reach for this one before grabbing a red or blue tool. Its a good tool for the price, although I rarely use it anymore since I have the XR reciprocating saw. If you're not a trade professional, I would recommend buying this one and not paying more for a higher end model.

Great for demo, but NOT for precise work
I purchased the Dewalt recip saw to trim two window openings to accept new window replacements. I'm sure the saw would be GREAT for demo-type projects but the vibration is so extreme that it totally prevented me from seeing, (much less following) the line I had drawn to enlarge the window openings to accommodate upgraded replacement windows.

Great demo tool
With the right blade and enough battery you can cut up just about anything with this saw. I have even used this for landscaping work. This saw can even cut up small trees in tight spaces where other tools would be too cumbersome. I have also been able to cut trunks flush to the ground for small trees and shrubs. Being as portable versatile as it is really opens up a lot of possibilities.

20V max sawzall
Definitely better than dragging an extension cord around and trying to find an electrical outlet. Nice saw for out of the way places. Only gave 4 stars as it uses a lot of battery life really quick. Other than that I like it.
