Perfect for garage/ADU
Mine is installed in the garage where you can’t use smoke/co2 detectors. It is interconnected to the apartment’s smoke and co2 which is built above the garage. If there’s ever a fire in the garage, it will give us ample warning to get out of the apartment theoretically. I’d like to see a smart version of this sensor to integrate with the smart devices that are available.

Please with Purchase
My smoke and heat detectors had exceeded there 10 year life and I chose to replace them. I called Kidde in Mebane N>C> and the woman that helped me walked me through the entire procedure. She did an excellent job and I've installed them in my home. To date I am completely happy. I have yet to have any type of alarm, which makes the family very happy.

easy no regrets
I have no idea whether the alarms, this one or the rest below will work well. However, the agent I spoke to was very helpful in letting me know what I needed and spot on. All were very easy to install and at least at test worked well. No regrets.

Good product, good quality, easy install
This product replaced an old Firex smoke alarm in the garage that was integrated with the other alarms in the home. It is a heat detector rather than a smoke detector on the advice of a Kidde rep. It went in seamlessly other than having to simply do the wire connectors. It does seem to work with the other KIdde smoke/CO alarms I replaced a couple of months ago.

Kidde Heat Detector
I would recommend this heat detector be used instead of a smoke detector when detector placement is near a kitchen. Burnt toast or cooking fumes will not result in annoying false alarms.
