Works great!!
I purchased this unit to monitor my water usage and also detect leaks. It's still in the learning process. But it's doing great automatically picking up what it thinks is using water. It's not hard to install with the right tools. I contacted 3 licensed plumbers. None of them wanted to touch it, since they had never heard of it. So I thought I would contact a handyman. Still no luck. But I wanted this unit. My next option was to install it myself. I'm pretty handy around the house. But I'm no expert. Just a single middle-aged female. I went by my local home improvement store for the parts. The instructions stated I needed a 3/4" meter coupling. So I got that. I have pvc pipes. So I also purchased a female adapter. I also wanted to put a shutoff valve before the unit. So I installed that first. I reused parts of the pipes I cut off for this. It was not hard to install at all. Just make sure you have 2 sets of pliers and plumber's tape. (And do it during normal business hours. Just in case.) This is handy when installing the adapter to the coupling. Install the app, and watch it learn. The only thing I would change in the app is the ability to name the different events. All sinks are "sink". All toilets are "toilet". So I wouldn't know if it's the kitchen sink or master bath toilet. It is connected to my water softener. But other than that, I'm loving it so far. I work in the water department for my city. I recommend it to every customer who asks how to lower their bill. And the kids are more mindful, now that they know I can see what they are using.

Great ease of mind
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can not say I have tested whether or not this unit automatically shuts off in the event of leak and honestly hop I never have to find out. I will say it provides a lot of ease of mind knowing that it can, especially since my pipes has freezed several times this winter.
This device was simple to install, few hoses attach to it and plus in the power unit. The power cord is about 15 long so more than enough to reach an outlet. Setting up the app was a synch as well. It has a pretty cool and easy interface.
My son takes very long showers and now I can regulate them more by pushing the off button from the app. He doesn't like it but I feel better for conserving water and make water bill is lower!
All in all this is a great device for water managment and protection!

Perfect for our Air BnB!`
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a guest house that we rent out in the summer months, and this water monitor is perfect for it. I love the intuitive app. It's easy to use, and if there is ever a problem the guest doesn't let us know about, we will know before our property is destroyed. It was pretty easy for my carpenter husband to install, too. When you rent out your property, peace of mind is everything. It's funny how something so small can make you feel so much better! I want to get one for the main house, too, because my teenage daughter doesn't quite realize how much water she is wasting when she takes half-hour showers!

We chose to have it installed by a plumber but I think it could be a diy install if someone was handy. We have it set to automatically shutoff in case of a leak and that gives me peace of mind. The app is easy to navigate and interesting to view water usage.

Not simple
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried to install this item myself. I admit to being a novice with plumbing but when it shows it to be simple, it isn’t. I tried to hook to my wifi, I had issues. Just trying to match the product is difficult. I had to bring in someone to help me hook up the lines. Plus there need to be a power source nearby for it. It may be a great product which is yet to be seen but there is nothing simple about it.

Peace of Mind!

After having a previous water leak while I was out of town, I decided to invest in the H2Wise - Smart home water monitor and automatic shutoff. I have it set to shutoff automatically if there ever is an issue. I also enjoy being able to look on the app to track my water usage and shut off the system if I so desire. I can even shut it off if my son is taking too long of a shower. Haha. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

So happy with the H2Wise!

My husband is handy so set up was fairly easy for him, we did need to get the water shut off from the town for a few hours so he could hook it up. Overall so happy we finally have this in case of emergencies when we aren’t home!
