Poor quality
I bought this lighted medicine cabinet barely 2 years ago. The LED lights are no longer working. What a terrible, poorly designed, low quality product. I recently renovated two bathrooms and except for some bathroom fixtures, I bought predominantly Kohler branded products. I am extremely disappointed with the Kohler products so far. This lighted medicine cabinet is just one example of how the quality of Kohler products has become so bad. I am doing more home renovations and I will most certainly not choose Kohler again.

Dead lights after 2 years
The wiring is intact but one day the lights flickered and eventually went off never to turn on again. Very frustrating as this is not built for longevity or the 59,000 hours they claim. Now I don't know what to do.

Faulty wire, light flickers then turns off
As everyone else has pointed out, there is a design flaw with the wiring. It wears down within 1 to 2 years after installation and the lights stop working.

20" Verdera Lighted Cabinet Support Great - Product not so much
Long story short - disappointed in manufacturing as had problem with light after installed for six months. Kohler customer service was eager to help but took a few times to get it right. Give it a 3 due to customer support else would of preferred to pass. Kudos to Amy for her due diligence and detective skills to finally send the correct cable.
Longer story with bathroom remodel, contractor stated with city permit would need a lighted medicine cabinet with visible UL listing label to pass inspection. Of options only Kohler provided that option.
Although I saw the comments about the cabinet, particularly the connecting cable shorting I ignored and bought item.
After installation immediately replaced the tamper resistant duplex receptacle. It was so tamper resistant could not use. Struggled removing screws. Per a prior comment replaced the mounting screws with a bigger head. That was a brilliant recommendation.
Six months after install cable shorted out. This is where customer service came to help but had a few mishaps along the way. If made it this far below are the cable item numbers and brief description as it took three tries to get it right. The cable on this unit is a 4 connector where the female connection is straight can see the brass openings. Per label and discussion with Kohler Rep it was built in 2018,
- Cabinet door was sent to me, although did not think would need. First one arrived via FedEx and was broken. Second one sent freight and arrived in tack. If you need a door let me know
- Cable Item 148020 – this cable is 4 pin female 90 degree connector. It was smaller than original and could not see brass in the openings. Did not fit cabinet. See photo.
- Cable Item 148019 = this cable is 2 pin female 90 degree connector. Did not fit cabinet.
- Cable 12687224 this cable is 4 pin female straight connector. This was correct cable for the cabinet.
Hope you don’t need but if so hope the cable descriptions will shorten your repair time

Nice when it works but has some quality and design flaws
Purchased the Verdera 20" in 2017, in under 2 years the lights started to flicker and eventually the wire broke due to flexing. No more lights. Found the replacement wire part number so no need to replace the entire cabinet. Kohler should make this part's availability more evident in the parts links. I ordered extra wires as I expect this can happen again, but here is a work-around that I hope extends the wire's lifespan: flip the electric cover upside down. You will still be able to secure it with the same hex screws and screwing them in from the top is far easier. It allows more wire to be extended out straight which reduces the kinking that causes the wire to break. Can't do that as well when the wire comes out from the bottom. You will not miss the extra 1/8" of width on top when upside down. Also, the mirror is corroding under the glass and creeping up. For the price paid this should not happen.

Do not buy this product
As stated in other reviews here, the wire/connection broke right *after* the warranty period expired, and Kohler's date to supply the replacement component has now been pushed back 3x ... each time we call to check in, the date shifts months further into the future. We have now been waiting over a year for this part.

Love, Love, Love this bathroom cabinet!
The mirrored interior, interior electric outlets for toothbrush, etc, LED dimmable lighted strips on mirror for make-up, and the overall gorgeous design make this a stunning addition to our new bathroom! Couldn’t be happier, Kohler!!!
