Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rheem For Tthe Team Just replaced with this unit on 1/15/20 I had a Rheem 80 gallon solar and electric from 1996 till 1/15/20. What a workhorse. Couldn't have asked for better performance. She started to rust and leak a few tiny drops of water . Time for a new one. Definately went with Rheem again, only this time around all electric and 50 gallon. So far I am thrilled. I know things are not made like they used to be nowadays. I hope Rheem has kept up the Company standards and quality I have come to know. Time will tell for sure, mind you I am not expecting 24 years like the last one. That would certainly be unrealistic on my part.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like it should After 19 years one of my marathon water heaters started leaking. I had 2 50 Gal units. One for the Master and the other for the rest of house. I called a local plumber that lives in my neighborhood on Thursday and he installed 2 new Rheem units on Friday. The way he installed the 2 50 Gal heaters the entire 100 Gal now goes to the entire house. Nice setup.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Junk in a box Not a scratch on the box. Perfect... right? Un-boxed unit with numerous dents that could have only occurred at the factory. Easy install except for the leaking drain valve and pressure relief valve. Why should the consumer need to drain it and take it apart to make it work right! What gives with quality control? It does keep water warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as Expected Thirteen months in, and it performs as I expected it would. Seems energy efficient as well. I have a new heat pump as well, and between the two, my bills have dropped precipitously. What else can you say about a water heater ---- it either works correctly or it doesn't. So far, this does.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Straightforward - keep it simple I do not expect anything special, because I like to use the most simple design. I have a tray to drain water to the outside when the tank developes a leak, so I do not any fancy alarms. It is way too early to tell whether it has been a good buy or not: it really depends how long it lasts. I will likely buy a rod after some time to extend the life of the device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value I boughtn this a year ago and it has performed well. The only weak point is the drain valve does not shut well. I have to cap it after flushing it.
