- BFVAW NC - BUTTERFLY VALVE, ACTUATED / WELD ENDS / NORMALLY CLOSED - 4", Commonly referred to as "normally closed", these quarter-turn stainless steel sanitary Butterfly valves use a disc mounted on a rotating spring-loaded shaft to close and control flow. These valves are assembled with an actuator using air to open. Designed to connect to tubing for a permanent and flush welded connection. In the event of failure, these valves fail closed.
