I've has maytag appliances for several years.
I've found them to be reliable over the years.
So, when offered as an option for my new home I went with what I know and trust.
I just purchased a maytag washer and dryer that I'm waiting to have delivered toda
y. This dish washer is a little noisy compared to my last one I purchased and it doesn't have a stainless steel interior. But it functions well, for my current needs.

Worked Great...For A Year
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This dishwasher worked great until it didn't. Approximately 6 - 8 weeks after the one year warranty expired the jets in the dishwasher stopped working properly. The dishwasher would fill with water but the dishes were not coming clean. I called Whirlpool to see if my dishwasher was still under warranty and once it was determined that it was not, the representative I was speaking with offered to sell me an extended warranty. So I spent money on a washer that lasted just past warranty (one year) and then I was offer an opportunity to spend more money on that same washer that, let me remind you, broke down in just over a year. No thanks Whirlpool. It's absurd to me that a (lightly used - not even run daily) dishwasher breaks down one year after purchase. My future appliance purchase will not be from Whirlpool.
